Valentine’s Day Date Spots at the Grove

February 3, 2023

Love is in the air at Coconut Grove, where there are plentiful romantic spots to wine and dine your loved one this Valentine's Day. From exotic gardens to Italian seafood, here's where to book a date.

Bayshore Club | 3391 Pan American Drive

This luxe waterfront bar and grill resides in the Dinner Key area of Miami—a name it earned because of the numberless boaters who've paused here for a picturesque picnic overlooking the glistening waters. Start with a house cocktail—we recommend the Tropical Paper Plane, which adds a dash of passion fruit pure to the classic drink—before indulging in the special Valentine's menu. Feast on Chilean sea bass with caviar, followed by strawberry mousse eclair tart, while gazing out on one of Coconut Grove's most delicious vistas. We dare you not to fall in love with this place.

Peacock Garden | 2889 McFarlane Road

For a sense of getting away from it all—while remaining a stone's throw from the Coconut Grove homes at Vita at Grove Isle—it's got to be Peacock Garden. This Eden-like indoor/outdoor dining room flourishes with banana palms, birds of paradise, and rare orchids, forming an exotically romantic setting for you and your partner. The food's just as vibrant—think Mediterranean octopus, the Commodore's Fish Sandwich (made with grilled Jamaican jerk and remoulade), and pina colada mousse cake. You’ll feel like you’re on a mini honeymoon.

Glass & Vine | 2820 McFarlane Road

Neighboring Peacock Garden is another perfect spot for a glamorous rendezvous; Glass & Vine bills itself as an "intimate secret garden by the sea," although any Coconut Grove local worth their salt should know about this place and its vivacious range of freshly made plates. On the special Valentine's Day menu this February, you'll find duck rillettes, braised Wagyu beef cheeks, and blackberry cobbler. It'd be remiss of you not to dive into the sparkling wine menu as well—may we suggest the Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé?

Sapore di Mare | 3111 Grand Avenue

As that classic scene from Lady and the Tramp taught us, there is no cuisine more alluring than Italian. This Valentine's Day, then, why not whisk your date to Sapore di Mare and wine and dine them with peach Bellinis, fresh oysters, melt-in-the-mouth lobster ravioli—and one of the best tiramisus in all of Miami?
